Unjustified Gaming Recruits KontrolFreek In Support of Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation

KontrolFreek joined forces with Team Unjustified Gaming - a member of its Esports Forge program - to host a charity live stream that benefited the Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation, which was established in 2001 and has helped hundreds of thousands from all over Western Canada. KontrolFreek supported the team’s fundraising efforts by providing prizing as a way to incentivize donations from stream viewers.

KontrolFreek Helped Drive Voter Registration and Participation By Supporting InvitationATL

KontrolFreek worked with Skillshot Media, Gamers.Vote, Ghost Gaming, and others to host InvitationATL - a digital festival that occurred on Tuesday, July 21 and featured with musical performances, video game live-streaming, and a $10,000 online invitational Fortnite tournament. KontrolFreek Supports Racial Equality for All

The events around George Floyd and countless others have reaffirmed the need for all of us to reflect, listen and learn from both our colleagues and the FreekNation community. We are committed to the Black Lives Matter movement and the fight for racial equality. We've specific action by donating to the Atlanta Solidarity Fund and Campaign Zero. Local to our hometown, Atlanta Solidarity Fund provides resources for peaceful protestors who have been arrested while demonstrating. On a national level, Campaign Zero is focused on ending police brutality. Learn more here.

KontrolFreek Supports ASTRO's Warzone Charity Challenge in Support of St. Jude's

The ASTRO Warzone Charity Challenge was a streaming event that featured a series of celebrity and influencer teams as they competed in a Call of Duty: Warzone tournament. Winners had donations made in their names to charitable organizations of their choice, including Wounded Warrior Project, Feeding America, and Gamers Outreach. Astro also contributed a total of $50K to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and Lake Streek, MN. KontrolFreek contributed select gear to incentivize stream viewers to donate during the activation.

Atlanta-Based KontrolFreek Celebrates Giving Tuesday by Supporting a Trio of COVID-19 Relief Efforts

On April 3, 2020, Atlanta-based performance gaming gear creator, KontrolFreek, pledged that 100 percent of KontrolFreek.com sales made that day would be donated to a series of key local, national and global COVID-19 relief efforts. In celebration of #GivingTuesdayNow, KontrolFreek announced the carefully-considered non-profit organizations it’s supported with those donations, which included Giving Kitchen, COV-AID and WHO. KontrolFreek Partners With COV-AID, A Massive Online Charity Event

KontrolFreek is partnering with COV-AID, a massive, multi-platform, one-day online charity event on May 5, 2020 at 1 pm EDT. The event will feature more than 10 hours of content showcasing popular gamers, athletes, artists, and other personalities streamed across top social game-streaming platforms. All proceeds will be donated to Americares and Boys & Girls Clubs of America to help the fight against COVID-19, and to support front-line medical professionals, first responders, and families most directly affected by COVID-19. KontrolFreek Donated $10K In Gear In Support of Extra Life United

Banding together with other brands in support of Extra Life, KontrolFreek donated $10,000 in gear for Extra Life United. Thousands of viewers and Extra Lifers raised over $350,000 to benefit Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals in a time of great need. Over $150,000 in tournament winnings were donated to multiple CMN hospitals around the country, with local funds going to pediatric medical care, healthcare equipment, and charitable care.

KontrolFreek Supports The Newly Opened 8 to 80 Esports Center at YWCA of Miami-Dade

KontrolFreek worked with Skillshot Media to donate Gaming Lights to the 8 to 80 Esports Center in Miami, which was launched during Super Bowl LIV weekend in partnership with NFL Hall of Famers Steve Young and Jerry Rice, and the Forever Young Foundation. The Gaming Lights were used to outfit gaming stations throughout the space, which serves as an esports and STEM center that provided underprivileged kids with access to essential technology.

KontrolFreek Helped Grant a Wish During Global Game Jam Weekend 2020

KontrolFreek joined Make-A-Wish Georgia, Skillshow Media, Hi-Rez Studios and other Georgia gaming organizations to grant Ethan’s wish of having a game developed that chronicles his fight with cancer. Hosted at Kennesaw State University near Atlanta, KontrolFreek supplied top game development teams with prizes and gear.

Extra Life, KontrolFreek and Others Have Fun for a Great Cause at E3 2019

KontrolFreek donated hundreds of sets of Performance Thumbsticks that Extra Life gave away as prizes during its Human Claw experience at E3 2019. Hundreds of supporters strapped into a complicated pulley system and were controlled by a giant joystick as they swayed around and were ultimately dropped into a big of amazing prizes. The whole goal, of course, was to drive awareness of the amazing work Extra Life is known for.

KontrolFreek Embraces the #CODNATION Challenge in Support of Call of Duty Endowment

KontrolFreek continued is strong and tenured relationship with Activision by participating in the Call of Duty Endowment’s 2018 “#CODNATION Challenge” as a sponsor of the “annual round-the-clock, multi-day streaming fundraiser” to help vets. The company provided a variety of Performance Gaming Gear that could be one as a prize by anyone who donated during the stream, which also served to celebrate the launch of Call of Duty®: Black Ops 4.
