Watch the Call of Duty: Blacks Ops Cold War Multiplayer reveal trailer here

Call of Duty: Blacks Ops Cold War trailer gave us a glimpse into what we can expect from the new Multiplayer maps. From the six maps that have been confirmed so far we can anticipate new design elements, more layout diversity, and bigger battlegrounds. Whether you prefer a long range sniper or a close combat MP5, there will be new maps that are made for all play styles so everybody can be a threat on the field. Let’s take a deeper dive into how these new maps look.

Armada

Inspired by the historical event, Project Azorian, Armada is a new map style coming to the Call of Duty® franchise. This map takes place in the North Atlantic Ocean, where the U.S. and Soviet ships battle it out both inside and outside the ships. Players can maneuver around the map by using ziplines, jet skies, and patrol boats to flank their enemies.

Crossroads

Being one of the largest open battlefield maps in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, Crossroads takes place in the cold Soviet wilderness. To score points, the players must cross the expansive fields to get to the other team’s bunker and capture it. Tanks and snowmobiles are located around the map for quicker transportation. There are also buildings and satellite stations where players can set up for long range attacks, making snipers the perfect tool.

Miami

Miami is a new 6 vs 6 map located in South Beach for an urban battleground. This map contains an asymmetrical three lane layout where players can attack and ambush in locations such as: the beach, hotel lobby, Ocean Drive Intersection, and back alleys. The neon lights of the buildings illuminate the streets during the night, making stealthy ambushes more accessible.

Moscow

Taking place in Moscow, this versatile map is a homage to the traditional Call of Duty® three lane map design. Players will battle it out in the metro station, alley ways, and main street of Moscow making for fun flanking and quick building hideaways. This map layout is easily playable for all types of gun preferences.

Satellite

Set in the Angolan desert, Satellite is a new map with a layout split into two main parts. The first part is the desert dunes which is an open land area, perfect for sniping off enemies. The second part is the crags, which consist of winding caves where the players will find themselves in close combat with the other team.

Cartel

Cartel is a medium-sized map located in Nicaragua at an isolated cartel compound in the jungle. The map layout is a fusion between the traditional Call of Duty® design and the new style of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. Cartel consists of three main lanes where the teams will battle: the river, the warehouse, and the foliage. Since this map uses both close quarters and open areas, players will experience both long range, mid range, and close range combat making this map versatile to all playstyles.
